Pool Stuff
So we are putting in a pool. We started looking at different companies back in December and had interviewd about 7 by the end of January and signed with one. The salesman was very nice. He seemed to have our best intrest in mind. Then after they get your money you don't deal with him anymore. You get turned over to someone in charge of construction. Let me tell you these are not nice people. They don't return your calls, they don't answer their phones, and most of all they don't give a shit what you have to say or what you want because they already have a large portion of your money. And if you want to ever have your pool finished you better just leave them be.
Well I'm not that nice. I don't take being treated like shit when I'm paying over 27,000. for a pool. I could get a new car for that. I choose the saturate them with calls method. Until they can't stand it anymore and give me over to another one of their flankies, who also does not answer her phone or return calls. But yet again, calling and calling and leaving messages works rather well. It does not hurt either that I work down the street from their office. So digging started in March. We actually made our first payment on our loan before they even started digging. That really sucked. We are due to make our third payment this week and we will be finishing the pool this Friday. They told us that it would take 12wks from when the hole was dug but construction stopped when the excavators wanted to charge us more for a hard dig. Something I have learned is a way of getting more money for pretty much nothing. Needless to say we paid nothing extra, but the time set us back by a week. Then the pool company tried to speed up things to make up for lost time. Things went pretty fast after that. We failed our final inspection and had to have the electrician come back out and stablize the electrical box. Done, inspection then passed, now on to pebbletec and then Fianally water......Wow and I thought it was just dig some holes, put in some poles,a pump, some cement and water and your done. I will post pictures of completion when its done.

Every have one of those days where it feels like you have no other place in life except to help others. I work all day answering the help desk line at work answering questions for people who could find the answers on their computers but would prefer to call me get the quick answer. Then I come home and its "mom, can you buy me this?" and "honey what's for dinner?" and when I try for just a few minutes to sit and relax its "how's those pork chops coming?" If they never went to bed I would never get a moments peace.
